How we work together…… My approach focuses on your individual wants, needs, and desires. Often non-directive allowing you to work at your own pace and in your own unique way to accept you for who you are. Person centrered therapy puts you in the centre of your therapy, allows for exploration without judgment. PCT enables me to see your individual world, to empathize with your thoughts, your feelings and encourage you to be empowered to make changes for yourself however big or small. If you wish we can set goals and some self direction to work towards. I provide through Counselling a safe, secure place for the above to happen. If you want to discover more about yourself by exploring emotions, be able to understand and manage feelings then this process will assist you. We focus on why we have certain feelings and emotions to the current situation, which helps you deconstruct the situation then move forward to express emotions and find ways to let them go. This can reduce worry, relieve stress and anxiety. It can help to recognize our triggers for certain feelings and how we have dealt with them in the past. Above all, as a long term plan we can look at current coping strategies to see how useful these are and explore new strategies that can be used to help with day to day life. This process is around self-care and empower change.
