Information about you
We collect personal information when you enquire about counselling and look to set up an initial appointment. This includes contact details, availability and other relevant personal information. Once counselling is finished, all data is stored securely for 5 years and then destroyed.
During enquiries, we ask for contact details and relevant personal information that is needed to answer your enquiries and to keep you informed.
Use of information.
Your data will only be used to provide you with our service and to give you information relating to our services. We will not share your information with any other person or organization without your knowledge and permission unless there is a legal requirement as stated in the counselling contract. See exceptions.
A breach of confidentiality is when a person shares information with another in circumstances where it is reasonable to expect that the information will be kept confidential.
Security.
We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of information you give us.
Communication linked with this service may be sent via email. For ease of use and compatibility, communication will not be sent in encrypted form. Email unless encrypted is not a fully secure means of communication, whilst we endeavor to keep systems and communication protected against viruses and other harmful effects, we cannot bear responsibility for all communication to be virus-free.
Your rights over personal data.
If you wish to see the information we hold about you, or would like to correct, update or delete records, please email us. If you have any concerns about use of data, please contact us directly. We will do our upmost to resolve any concerns you have, If, for any reason we cannot resolve the issues you may chose to contact the ICO directly.
