Choosing the right supervisor is an important part of feeling supported, confident and grounded in your therapeutic work. Supervisees often describe me as warm, steady, thoughtful and genuinely invested in their growth \u2014 someone who offers both sensitivity and clarity, and who holds the supervisory relationship with care.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2b50 My Humanistic & Integrative Approach<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My supervisees come from a range of Humanistic modalities. My core training is grounded in the Person\u2011Centred approach<\/strong>, and over time I have integrated additional therapeutic skills to offer a flexible, relational and integrative style of supervision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I completed my NCIP Accredited (Level 7) Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision<\/strong> in October 2024, and since then I have supported counsellors at different stages of their professional journey \u2014 from trainees to experienced practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2b50 Supervision as a Joint Endeavour<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I believe supervision is a joint endeavour<\/strong>. Together we explore:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This reflective process supports you to enhance the quality of your work, transform your client relationships, and continue developing yourself, your practice and the wider profession \u2014 in line with the principles taught by Hawkins & Shohet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    My approach also draws on Petruska Clarkson\u2019s Multiplicity of Therapeutic Levels\/Relations<\/strong>, recognising the many layers present within therapeutic work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u2b50 A Hybrid, Eclectic Supervision Model<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    My training covered seven supervision models<\/strong> \u2014 beyond the three core frameworks \u2014 allowing me to tailor supervision to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • your personality<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • your learning style<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • your clients\u2019 challenges and needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      This creates a flexible, hybrid and eclectic supervision style that adapts to what you need, rather than expecting you to fit a rigid model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u2b50 Consultative Supervision for Professionals & Carers<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Alongside clinical supervision for counsellors, I also offer consultative supervision<\/strong> for professionals and those working or caring for people. This provides a much\u2011needed space to prevent work pressures from bleeding into everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Consultative supervision can be offered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Most importantly as an experienced senior audiologist with strong Deaf awareness and a deep understanding of Deaf culture, I bring specialist knowledge to the supervisory relationship. This allows me to support counsellors who work with Deaf clients, hard\u2011of\u2011hearing clients, or those who rely on adapted communication approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          I understand the unique relational, cultural and communication dynamics present in Deaf and hearing\u2011loss therapy work. This includes the importance of clear visual communication, lip\u2011reading considerations, basic BSL use, and the wider systemic challenges Deaf clients often face. My aim is to help you feel confident, supported and well\u2011equipped to offer safe, inclusive and attuned therapeutic work \u2014 whether you\u2019re already working with Deaf clients or preparing to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
